1. (I. N. 5018) 10.5 x 8.25 cms. Fragment of an alabaster vase of the form shown in Montet, Byblos et l'Égypte P1. XLII, 75. The inscription reads "King of Upper and Lower Egypt, Ded-ka-re, [living] forever." So far, this is the only occurrence of this royal name at Byblos.(3)

2. (I.N. 5040) 8 x 3 cms. Fragment of limestone of too indeterminate shape to identify the kind of object from which it came. The inscription reads: "Live the Horus, Satisfying-[the-Two-Lands] (s'htp- t'wy)" This name forms a portion of the titulary of Teti 111, the only one of the monarchs of the Fifth and Sixth Dynasty who bears this designation. It seems certain, therefore, that it comes from his reign

3. (I.N. 50 19) 6.5 x 5 cms. Fragment of a cylindrical alabaster jar of the type shown on Quibell, Excavations tit Sakkara, (1911-1912), Pl. XXVII, 13. The inscription is probably a duplicate of that on Plate IV (5041-5042), and originally contained the full titulary of Pepi 1. It reads : "Horus, be[loved] -of-the-Two-Lands (mry-t'wy), Favorite of the Two Goddesses, Meri-khet ; [Golden] Horuses .......

4. 5023a) 7 x 4 cms. Fragment of an alabaster offering plate or disc, possibly broken from the same object as No. 5. The inscription reads : "Son of (Hathor], Mistress of Denderah, Pepi (I)".

5. (I.N. .5023) 14 x 9 cms. Fragment of an alabaster offering plate or disc. (For the form, cf. Ouibell, Excavations at Sakkara (1911-1912), Pl. XXVI and XXVII, 6. See also Montet, Byblos et H. XXXIX, 47). This fragment formed a portion of the same, or of a similar, object to that shown by Montet, ibid. Pl. XLV, 49 and Text, Fig. 22. The inscription extended around the upper surface of the disc about four centimeters from the edge and reads : "Son [of Hathor], Mistress of Dendc rah, Pepi (1). The three Horuses ; Ha[thor] The cartouche to the left probably contained, just before the s', "Son", sign, a seated figure of the goddess Hathor(4) while above the sign appeared the word nb.t, "Mistress". Whether the cartouche began with the Hathor or contained other elements, such as "King of Upper and Lower Egypt ", (5) it is impossible to say. The fact that the second cartouche seems to begin with a seated Hathor holding the w3s'-sceptre(6) before her might argue for a similar beginning for this cartouche.

6. (I.N. 5078) 5.5 x 3 cm. Alabaster fragment. The area included between the parallel lines is slightly embossed. It is quite uncertain from what form of vase this fragment is derived. One is reminded strongly of the ape-vases shown in Montet, Byblos et l'Égypte Pls. XL and XLI, and the
