Kunefe 1 kg "0 number" kadayif. Crumble by hand in a large pan. Spread 250 gr. of meltet dairy butter over the kadayif. Mix the dough to blend the butter in well. Separate the dough into 2 equal parts. Oil a new pan and spread one of the 2 halves. Spread a suficient measure of fresh sweet white cheese ("lor"). Spread the other half of the kadayif eevenly over the cheese. Cover the whole thing with a weighted cover for 2 hours. Bake in oven for 45 minutes. Spread warm but not hot syrup over the kunefe. Serve warm. The syrup is made with 2 kg sugar, 1.250 gr water, half a lemon. Boil until well mixed. Cool before spreading over kadayif. (This recipe is from the chef of the Korumar Hotel, Kusadasi.
