AACS - Alumni Association of the American Community School - Beirut, Lebanon

ACS at Beirut Annual Fund

Dear ACS Parents, Alumni, Faculty, Staff, and Friends,

ACS relies primarily on tuition fees, so any decrease in tuition income means financial challenges for the school. You, our donors, reach out annually to help with your generous gifts, demonstrating your pivotal role in helping ACS maintain the quality of its education, even in times of extraordinary difficulties.

Gifts to the Annual Fund constitute the most important source of unrestricted funds available to our school. For independent schools like ACS, such voluntary giving allows us to meet the annual budget, which provides operating funds for all aspects of school life, including financial aid, faculty & staff salaries, academic programs, extracurricular activities and sports, library acquisitions, and general maintenance, among others.

Your gifts also provide scholarships for deserving students. Not all students who are eligible are able to afford an education at ACS, but with your generosity you can offer this extraordinary education to those less privileged students. In 2006-07, 138 students benefited from financial support provided by donors and by USAID grants.

That is why, now more than ever, your generosity is crucial for us. Please help us keep this vital institution alive and ready to serve our children.

Thank you for your generosity to ACS.

Sincerely,

Fadwa Ghannoum
Director of Development & Alumni Affairs
