Professor Aftim Acra, b. Dec. 25, 1922 in Jerusalem, Palestine. Undergraduate degree in pharmacy, the American University of Beirut, 1946. Master's degree in environmental science, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, 1957. Postgraduate studies, UNC CH, 1977-78. Has been teaching mainly in the environmental sciences at AUB since 1949. Retired professor emeritus 1992 and still active in research and supervision of MS progam in environmental engineering.
