The archeological projects in the BCD are undertaken under the auspices of
The Ministry of Culture and Higher Education
The Directorate General of Antiquities and SOLIDERE

By sponsoring and financing most of the archeological fieldwork, SOLIDERE hopes to ensure that the reconstruction of the Beirut Central District integrates the results of archeological fieldwork and research, preserving the city's identity and creating meaningful new space where past and future meet.
