3. (I.N. 5032) 11 x 4 cms. Fragment of an alabaster jar with the inscription: "Son of Re, Pepi, living forever". 4. (I.N. 5034) 8.5 x 4 cms. Fragment of an alabaster vase, showing a portion of the "Horus of gold" title and of the words "like Re". 5. (I.N. 5029) 14.5 x I I cms. Fragment of an alabaster vase. The inscription reads: "Son of Re, Pepi, given life. First occurrence of the Heb-Sed." 6. (I.N. 5024) 16 x 8 cms. Fragment of an alabaster vase, bearing traces of the termination of the usual Heb-Sed formula. 7. (I.N. 5035) 5 x 3 cms. Fragment of limestone with a portion of the name of Pepi 1, "Beloved-of-the- Two-Lands". 8. (I.N. 5031) 16 x 6 cms. Fragment of alabaster. The surface is flat and the piece seems to thick to have formed part of a vase. The inscription reads : "Living forever. First occurrence [of the Heb-Sed." Probably of the Sixth Dynasty. 9. (I.N. 5038) 13 x 7 cms. Fragment of an alabaster jar with the inscription Living forever. First occurrence of the [Hebl]-Sed." 10. (I.N.5026) 18 x I I cms. Fragment of a limestone vase, with inscription on the shoulder : "Living forever. First occurrence of the Heb-Sed." Probably of the Sixth Dynasty. 11. (I.N. 5033) 23.5 x 13 cms. Fragment of an alabaster vase, bearing the beginning of an inscription, reading "The revered one" (fem.). The vase was possibly dedicated to the temple use in behalf of some non-royal person, a woman, deceased. 12. (I.N. 5039) 15.5 x 5.4 cms. Fragment of an alabaster vase, with traces of the Heb-Sed sign, forming the termination of the jubilee formula common on these fragments. 13. (I.N. 5037) 9 x 5 cms. Fragment of a flat alabaster stand, similar to nos. 4 and 5 of Plate 1. It bears the inscription : "Living like Re." HAROLD H. NELSON. |
