Tanker Loading Rates: | Crude oil offloading will be by gravity flow at maximum rates of from 19,000 to 26,000 barrels per hour. Bunkering offloading will be by transfer pumps from shore gauging tanks at rates of from 1000 to 5000 barrels per hour. Initially, supplies of fuel oil will be received at Sidon from tankers and boosted by shore pumps to the 280-foot level fuel oil storage tanks. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Fuel Oil Pumps: | Four Byron Jackson single-stage horizontal centrifugal pumps rated at 5500 barrels per hour at 84 pounds per square inch differential direct connected to General Motors 260 horsepower twin-diesel engines. These pumps are primarily for unloading and offloading bunkers, but may also be used for transferring crude oil between different tanks in the Tank Farm. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Power Plant: | Five 75 kilowatt generators directly connected to Caterpillar D-13000 diesel engines. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Terminal Housing: | Single men are being housed at the temporary construction camp. Apartments and houses for families are rented in the town of Sidon. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Water Supply: | Drinking water is obtained from the town of Sidon water system.* | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
