BERTHS
There are four berths
No.1 Twin 24" sealines commissioned on 7th July, 1961
No.2 Single 32" sealine commissioned on 9th August? 1961
No.3 Single 32" sealine commissioned on 23rd August, 1961
No.4 Twin 16" sealines.
(a) Berths No.1 and No.2 have been enlarged and fitted with 16" hoses to take vessels of up
to 140,000 tons capacity at a maximum draught of 56 ft. and 60 ft. respectively.
Berth No.2 has been fitted with four lengths of 20" hoses at the sealine header.
(b) Lamgar Buoys and 10 tons Wedge Anchors have been installed in berth No.2 to strengthen
the moorings.
Berth No.1 will be similarly strengthened.
(c) The Moorings layout in berths Nos.1 & 2 have been repositioned as recommended by the
Tanker Safety Group,
(d) Berth No.3 is fitted with 16" hoses, each string ending in one top length of 12" hose.
(e) Berth No.4 is used for export of fuel oil and surplus gas oil as well as the import of
blend stock for the Refinery, when required.
